The Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) has announced that it will rename two of its securities markets from 10 May 2010. The Main Market (also known as the Official List) will be renamed the "Main Securities Market" (MSM) and the Irish Enterprise Exchange (IEX) will be re-named the Enterprise Securities Market (ESM). The Global Exchange Market will remain unchanged.
The ISE have said that the renaming initiative is part of a wider project of corporate rebranding to enhance the ISE's brand in Irish and international markets and to position the ISE for future business development.
The Main Market of the Irish Stock Exchange is Ireland's only "regulated market" for the purposes of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID).
