We are pleased to announce that Brett Connor has joined Spruson & Ferguson’s Melbourne office in the position of Of Counsel.
With a 30-year career in the patent profession spanning Australia, Singapore and Japan, Brett brings with him a wealth of experience across both local and international markets. Brett has extensive expertise in the mining and materials industries, mechanical engineering, chemical processing and medical device industries. His practical and commercial approach to patent matters and their application in the business world is widely sought after with clients including some of Australia’s largest companies and research organisations, as well as multinational corporations.
Brett’s hire is the latest in a series of senior patent professionals making the move to Spruson & Ferguson, following Simon Reynolds, David Bayliss and Scott Philp, who all moved to Spruson & Ferguson from other Australian firms. Brett will work closely with both the Sydney and Brisbane teams in Australia as well as with the regional teams in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, China and Hong Kong.
The Melbourne office patent offering is further strengthened by Brett’s arrival and his invaluable knowledge and experience will be of value to both our clients and the firm.
