ISS recently released its 2011–12 Policy Survey. The ISS Policy Survey seeks market feedback on emerging corporate governance policy issues and is a key factor in ISS’s annual policy formulation. ISS uses the Policy Survey in connection with empirical research to ensure that its policy guidelines represent its clients’ opinions and market practice. Several questions that may receive a lot of feedback include (1) Question 11 regarding pay for performance and peer group formulations; and (2) Question 19 regarding companies’ use of separate individuals for both the chairman of the board and the chief executive officers. ISS is requesting that all responses and comments be submitted no later than August 3, 2011.
