Bullying has been a hot-button topic for several years now, usually in a school or childhood environment. More recently, however, bullying has become scrutinized in the workplace. It’s only a matter of time before litigation ensues wherein businesses are held liable for either the bullying of employees, or the approval — explicit or tacit — of one employee bullying another. When these cases hit, there will be the potential for liability exposure. This is good reason for every business to review its insurance policy to determine whether or not there would be coverage for a bullying lawsuit.
