A woman killed by an electric shock while using her iPhone in China, may have been using a non-genuine Apple battery charger at the time of her death, as reported by CCTV on 16 July. Following this incident, a large number of consumers have come forth complaining of electric shocks when using or recharging their iPhones and other devices in China. The Chinese policy and product quality administrative authorities are said to be investigating all complaints and this particular incident, with haste.
