Flat-coated steel products originating in China and Taiwan
On 5 June 2017 the Unit of International Trade Practices (UPCI) of the Ministry of Economy published on the Official Federal Gazette the Final Resolution of the antidumping investigation over the importation of flat-coated steel products originating in the People's Republic of China and the Republic of China (Taiwan), regardless of the country of export.
This resolution imposes the following antidumping duties to definitive and temporary importations of this product:

Cold-rolled steel sheets originating in South Korea
On 13 June, the UPCI published on the Official Federal Gazette the Final Resolution of the review of the commitments undertaken by the exporters Posco and Hyundai Hysco Co. Ltd. over the importations of cold-rolled steel sheets originating in the Republic of Korea, regardless of the country of export.
By means of this resolution, the administrative procedure for reviewing the undertaken commitments is now concluded and the export volumes were modified as follows:

Metallic rubber balloons originating in China
On 26 June, the UPCI published on the Official Federal Gazette the Resolution accepting the request by interested party and declaring the initiation of the antidumping investigation over the importation of rubber balloons originating in the People's Republic of China, regardless of the country of export.
This administrative investigation due to unfair practices was requested by Convertidora Industrial, S.A.B. de C.V. on 22 February 2017.
Product subject to investigation
The product subject to this investigation is the metallic rubber balloon, metal balloon or metallic balloon, also known as foil balloon, which physical characteristics include being recipients of a two-sided flexible laminated material, made of nylon or polyester, adhered around its perimeter, except where they are inflated, by means of a polyethylene film.
The main tariff items by which these products are introduced into Mexico are 9503.00.23 and 9505.90.99 of the Tariff of the General Import and Export Duties Law.
Investigation and Damage Analysis periods
The investigation period is from September 1, 2015 to August 31, 2016, and the damage analysis period is from 1 September 2013 to 31 August 2016.
The UPCI accepted to use the United States of America as a market economy country, substitute to China, for purposes of the calculation of the normal value in this investigation.
Deadline for filing arguments and evidence
National producers, importers, exporters, foreign entities or any other person who evidences having legal interest in this investigation may file their response to the format, arguments and evidence no later than 3 August 2017.
