The EU Commission published an update on 7 May 2013, setting out its agenda and timetable for the legislative proposals and non-legislative acts that it expects to adopt between 1 May 2013 and 31 December 2013. Changes to the March 2013 update include the following:

  • The Commission initiatives concerning money market funds and shadow banking are scheduled to be adopted in June 2013.
  • The legislative proposal for a regulation on a single resolution authority and a single resolution fund within a single resolution mechanism is scheduled to be adopted in July 2013.
  • The legislative proposal for the Securities Law Regulation is no longer listed in the document. It was due to be adopted in June 2013.
  • The delegated Regulation to be made under EMIR (the Regulation on OTC derivatives, central counterparties (CCPs) and trade repositories) (Regulation 648/2012) concerning procedural rules for fines on trade repositories is scheduled to be adopted in October 2013, rather than in the second quarter of 2013.
