The Freedom of Information (FOI) Bill 2013 completed all stages in the Oireachtas on Thursday 2 October 2014. There were no amendments made to the Bill by Seanad Éireann.
The Bill will now be forwarded to President Michael Higgins for his approval. The Department of Public Expenditure and Reform expect the legislation to be enacted by mid-October.
The text of the Bill, as passed by both Houses of the Oireachtas, is the same as the Bill as passed by Dáil Éireann.
