­On 1 April 2013, the Dutch Competition Authority (Nederlande Mededingingsautoriteit, or NMa) has joined forces with the Consumer Authority (Consumentenautoriteit) and the Independent Post and Telecommunications Authority (Onafhankelijke Post en Telecommunicatie Autoriteit, or OPTA) to form a new supervisory authority: the Consumer and Market Authority (Autoriteit Consument & Markt, or ACM).
