A new report by Solar Power Rocks provides an interesting overview of solar power ratings by state. Not surprisingly, the top 10 states have a variety of programs, including rebates and tax credits, to encourage the use of solar panels. New York is singled out, in particular, as a state that has adopted various state programs to encourage solar use.
Ironically, as the report shows, some of the states that have the least usable solar power have the best programs. Conversely, some of the states that have the best natural opportunities for solar usage have the worst programs and, therefore, the worst participation. The full report may be read here.
