The House Ways and Means Committee passed all five charity bills focused on the charitable sector. “The Council on Foundations commends the Members of the House Ways and Means Committee for their commitment to supporting a strong philanthropic sector,” Council President and CEO Vikki Spruill said in a release found on the Council on Foundations page.  “The five charitable bills passed by the Committee [on May 29] will encourage charitable giving and strengthen philanthropy’s ability to serve communities across the country.” The five bills will be presented to the House of Representatives soon.
