Former chief minister of Karnataka, Mr B.S.Yeddyurappa, is accused of accepting bribes for selling government land in and around Bangalore. According to the authorities the land deals allegedly cost the state $95 million, whilst Mr Yeddyurappa and family personally benefited from $38.6 million.

Mr Yeddyurappa also faces allegations over a $3.6 billion iron-ore mining fraud.

He denies the accusations.
