SOCA has announced that it will be rejecting a recommendation made by the House of Lords European Committee on providing solicitors and other professionals with feedback when they make suspicious activity reports (SARs). In its report, the Committee recommended that SOCA provide 'increased levels of case-by-case feedback' to professionals who issue SARs. SOCA highlights that the wide range of activity covered by a SAR makes it impractical and unjustifiable to offer such feedback.
