A new interagency forum has been launched to explore different approaches to improving cybersecurity in the private sector, particularly among critical infrastructure companies.   The “Cybersecurity Forum for Independent and Executive Branch Agencies” will be led by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.  In its first meeting on October 10, the organization approved a two-year charter and assigned working groups to discuss specific cybersecurity issues.  Participating agencies include the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Federal Communications Commission, Federal Trade Commission, Food and Drug Administration, and the Departments of Treasury, Homeland Security, and Transportation.
