The UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) recently published a timetable for action regarding the remedies identified in its final report on the private motor insurance market. The CMA previously made certain recommendations to the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK (the FCA) for actions which might be taken in this regard. The administrative timetable indicates that the CMA will be informally consulting with key stakeholders before the end of 2014 with a view to publishing proposed measures for formal public consultation in January/February 2015 (implementation of remedies being intended by March 2015).
