On 15 November 2013, ESMA published its fourth risk dashboard for 2013. The risk dashboard provides a snapshot of risk issues in the third quarter of 2013 and covers:

  • Economic environment and securities markets conditions.
  • Liquidity Risk.
  • Market Risk.
  • Contagion Risk.
  • Credit Risk.

ESMA is required under Regulation 1095/2010 (which established ESMA) to monitor and assess market developments in the area of its competence and, where necessary, inform the European Banking Authority (EBA), the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA), the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) and the European Parliament, the Council of the EU and the European Commission about the relevant micro-prudential trends, potential risks and vulnerabilities.
