The RICS has just published its guidance note for surveyors advising in respect of the Electronic Communications Code.

Whist the guidance note is not mandatory for RICS surveyors, it provides surveyors with guidelines as to what constitutes good practice. At a time when the debate about the ECC is shifting to look at engagement between site providers and operators, and all those engaged in the process of facilitating the role out of a digital communications network, this is a welcome guidance note.

The guidance note also provides some useful background to various issues that arise in the negotiations and so is a useful point of reference.
