On June 15th and 16th, the U.S. Department of Labor (“DOL”) and the Illinois Department of Insurance will present “HIPAA and Other Health Benefit Laws: Compliance Assistance Seminar” in downtown Chicago. The seminar, which is FREE and open to the first 120 registrants, is designed to assist employers with complying with the federal and Illinois state laws regarding their company’s group health plans. The tentative seminar topics include: (1) Fiduciary Education for Health Plan Sponsors, (2) HIPAA, GINA, MHPAEA and Other Related Health Laws, (3) Federal COBRA and Illinois Specific Continuation of Coverage, (4) HIPAA Privacy Regulations, (5) Family and Medical Leave Act and (6) USERRA.

The Seminar will be held at the Ralph M. Metcalfe Federal Building, located at 77 West Jackson, Room 331, Chicago, IL 60604.
