As of April 1, 2014, Beijing will apply the following minimum wage standard:
Minimum hourly wage will be increased from RMB 8.05/hour to RMB 8.97/hour; minimum monthly salary will be increased from RMB 1,400/month to RMB 1,650/month. The above mentioned minimum wage does not include allowances, overtime pay, social insurances which should be borne by the employee, etc.
Minimum hourly wage for part-time employees would be increased from RMB 15.2/hour to RMB 16.9/hour; minimum hourly wage on statutory holidays would be increased from RMB 36.6/hour to RMB 40.8/hour. The abovementioned minimum wage includes the pension, medical and unemployment insurance premiums which should be borne by the employer and the employee.
