Latham & Watkins, in conjunction with KPMG, co-hosted a two-city conference that focused on key developments related to Chinese investments in United States real estate. Held in Beijing and Shanghai, the event featured panel discussions and presentations by Latham partners and a range of industry leaders including real estate, private equity, tax advisory and banking executives.
“The conferences brought together more than 300 key industry players and market observers to explore an emerging Chinese investment strategy with a strong growth outlook,” said Hong Kong partner Cathy Yeung, Chair of the firm’s Greater China Practice. “Attendees came away with practical insights into why Chinese investors are focusing on US real estate and the challenges they face when entering the market, as well as new trends that may shape investment activity.”
