Silicon Valley – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution services worldwide, is pleased to welcome Barbara Spector, Esq., to its panel. Ms. Spector joins JAMS with over 40 years of experience as a lawyer, mediator and arbitrator. In addition to her extensive experience in business, real estate, employment and personal injury matters in both state and federal courts, she has successfully argued a case of first impression before the California Supreme Court. She is a Harvard-certified mediator and negotiator who has received acclaim for her eminent career in alternative dispute resolution and litigation.
Based in the JAMS Resolution Center in Silicon Valley, Ms. Spector will serve as an arbitrator, mediator, special master and neutral evaluator in a variety of disputes, including appellate, aviation, business/commercial, employment, government/public agency, insurance, real property and personal injury/tort.

Ms. Spector is well known in the Santa Clara legal community, where her commitment to education and ethics earned her the Santa Clara County Bar Association’s highest honor, the Bryl Salsman Award. She is also well known in the Los Gatos community as a council member and three-term mayor.
Ms. Spector received her B.A. in English from the University of California, Berkeley; earned her M.A. in political science from San Jose State University; and obtained her J.D., magna cum laude, from Santa Clara University School of Law.
