Days after Xcel and SunPower announced plans for a solar plant in Colorado, a developer announced plans to build a city run entirely by solar power. Florida Power & Light Co. would build a massive solar plant big enough to power the city. The 75 MW solar photovoltaic plant, which would cost at least $300 million, would be built to supply electricity to the nearly 6 million square foot development. The city would be home to 45,000 residents.
