The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) published a technical resource on its approach to complaints arising from the review of sales of personal pension policies taken out between 1988 and 1994. The FOS confirms that a consumer who was not included in the pensions review can bring a complaint to the FOS. The technical resource sets out how the FOS decides complaints relating to:

  • opting out of and not joining occupational pension arrangements; and
  • pension transfers
