The Portuguese Minister of Economy, António Pires Lima, is traveling to Angola and Mozambique on an official visit during the end of August.
he core of the agenda being the "internationalization of Portuguese companies in the countries of Angola andMozambique, the visit of António Pires Lima includes a programmed meeting in Angola with the Ministries of Economy, Mr. Abrãao Gourgel, of Industry, Mr. Bernarda da Silva and of Trade, Mrs. Rosa Pacavira. Whilst visiting Mozambique, the Portuguese Minister of Economy will participate in the Maputo International Fair (FACIM), which foresees the economic potential and investment of Mozambique. He will also maintain contact with the Angolan National Agency for Private Investment (ANIP).
The importance of Angola as a trading partner for Portugal is such that Angola was the target of 6.6% of Portuguese exports in 2012, thus occupying the 4th place in the ranking of clients according to data recently published by the Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade of Portugal (AICEP).
