• Dr. Jerome Adams has been nominated to be Surgeon General. An anesthesiologist by background, Dr. Adams served as the Indiana state health commissioner under former Gov. Mike Pence.
  • Gopal Khanna will serve as the Director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Khanna most recently directed the state of Illinois Innovation Incubator at the Department of Innovation and Technology. He also served in several positions in the George W. Bush administration, including chief financial officer in the Executive Office of the President and chief information officer and chief financial officer of the U.S. Peace Corps.
  • Randy Pate will serve as the Director of the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight, the agency that oversees implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Pate was previously vice president of public policy for the Health Care Services Corporation, which operates Blue Cross Blue Shield plans in several states.
  • Sarah Lloyd Stevenson will serve as a Policy Adviser to Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Tom Price. Stevenson was previously a staffer to Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., for whom she served as a Policy Adviser on healthcare and global health issues.
  • Carla DiBlasio will serve as the Senior Adviser for Medicare. DiBlasio was a Senior Policy Advisor and Legislative Counsel to Secretary Price when he was a member of the House.
  • Kyle Zebley will be a Senior Adviser to the Assistant Secretary of Global Affairs at HHS. Zebley was Legislative Director to Secretary Price when he was a member of the House.
  • Brady Brookes will be the Deputy Chief of Staff in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Office of the Administrator. Brooks was previously Vice President Pence’s Legislative Director when Pence was governor of Indiana.
  • Calder Lynch will be the Senior Counselor to the Administrator for Medicaid. Lynch was previously Director of Nebraska’s Medicaid program. He also served in the administration of former Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.
  • Claire Burghoff will serve as a Special Assistant to CMS Administrator Seema Verma. Burghoff was previously a health staffer to Rep. Steve Womack, R-Alaska.
  • Dr. Jeet Guram will be a Senior Adviser for the CMS Innovation Center. Dr. Guram holds a medical degree from Harvard Medical School and was most recently an associate at McKinsey & Company
