The Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (Repeal) (No. 1) Bill 2014 (Cth) was introduced to Federal Parliament on 19 March 2014. The Bill proposes to repeal the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission Act 2012 (Cth) and thereby abolish the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, as well as setting out transitional arrangements for the transfer of records, investigations and reporting requirements to a "successor agency".

Importantly, if passed, the Bill will not actually commence until a second Bill has been introduced and enacted as the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (Repeal) (No. 2) Act 2014 (Cth).
