A number of regulations and standards from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, OSHA, and other organizations have recently been revised and/or updated. TRC has prepared a Regulatory Update summarizing the changes with anticipated impacts in 2014.

The rule changes primarily impact:

  • Water and storm water discharges
  • Drinking water
  • Process Safety Management
  • Occupational Health and Safety
  • Chemical reporting, labeling and training
  • Conflict minerals
  • Phase I environmental assessments
  • Sustainability reporting

You may be impacted if you operate the following equipment and/or processes:

  • Industrial, commercial and/or institutional boilers
  • Sources that emit fine particulate matter, volatile organic compounds or greenhouse gases
  • Steam generating units
  • Cooling water intake structures
  • Crystalline silica exposure
  • Beryllium exposure
  • Construction – confined space and cranes/derricks
