CEBS has published its principles on remuneration policies. The principles cover policies that apply throughout institutions, not just executive pay and cover:

  • how to align company objectives with individual ones;
  • transparency of policies;
  • governance issues related to oversight and decision-making;
  • performance measurement; and
  • forms of remuneration.

CEBS wants the guidelines implemented by the end of Q3 2009 and will build the principles into its guidance on Pillar 2.
