The European Union (European Markets Infrastructure) Regulations 2014 (SI 443 of 2014) have been published. The Central Bank updated its website to reflect that on 8 October 2014, the Central Bank was appointed the sole National Competent Authority for EMIR by the Minister for Finance under Statutory Instrument No. 443 of 2014 and also updated its FAQ. Helpfully, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) published the 11th update of its Q&A on the implementation of EMIR.
