The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has requested comments on the proposed time burdens for states to complete questionnaires about medical review guidelines and practices they may use to help evaluate older adults referred to state motor vehicle licensing agencies for reexamination over concerns about unsafe driving performance due to suspected age or medical condition-related impairments. The five-hour estimate to complete the questionnaire includes the preparation of a short narrative and possible follow-up for clarification. Comments are requested by March 3, 2014.
