Simon Green of FCA spoke on the future of insurance broking. He focused on the need to restore trust and confidence in the industry generally, specifically addressing the lack of relationship between customers and insurers. He said brokers could help add value by keeping the customer at the heart of their business model. He said FCA will focus its supervision on senior management, business models and product design and distribution. He spoke of FCA's thematic work and announced the launch of a new thematic review of conflicts of interest where brokers receive money from both insurers and customers.
