On 28 September 2011, the FSA published final guidance on the appropriate degree of prominence of financial promotions.
Prominence is an important consideration for firms producing financial promotions across all product types and for all types of media.
In particular COBS 4.5.2R(2) states that firms should ensure that information does not emphasise any potential benefits without also giving a fair and prominent indication of any relevant risks.
