Following up on the immigration measures applied by the Government of Costa Rica, we inform you that as of November 1, 2020, those who have legal permanence in Costa Rica (permanent resident, temporary, special categories, or non-residents in subcategory of stay) They will be able to enter the country through authorized immigration posts (land borders).
The entry requirements to the country are:
- A current insurance from the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS), or, failing that, a private travel insurance that covers accommodation and medical expenses generated by COVID-19. Said insurance must be for a period of 22 days, and the equivalent of the costs of internment and lodging must be covered for the same period (22 days).
Costa Ricans and residents who enter this way will receive a sanitary order of home isolation for 14 days. International land transportation is also enabled for Costa Ricans and residents.
