On October 17, Transition énergétique Québec (TEQ) President and CEO Johanne Gélinas announced the launch of a public consultation process with a view to implementing Québec’s first governmental masterplan with respect to energy transition, innovation and efficiency. The masterplan will establish objectives and measures to facilitate Québec energy transition process over the next five years.
Here are a few important dates:
The online consultation will begin Nov. 6 and continue until Dec. 3, 2017. Over the course of the consultation period, all stakeholders concerned with Québec’s energy transition – citizens, experts, and representatives of organizations, companies and municipalities – will have the opportunity to express their views on the government’s proposed measures, as well as to share their own suggestions and opinions on the measures required to carry out Quebec’s energy transition.
From Nov. 20 to Nov. 24, 2017, TEQ will also host eight thematic workshops in Montréal focused on residential building, commercial and institutional building, passenger and freight transportation, industry, innovation, bioenergy and land-use planning.
Please visit TEQ’s website to learn more about the consultation process and to reserve your seat at one or more workshops. Please note that space will be limited to about 60 people at each workshop.
