On January 9, 2014, CMS delivered a final rule, titled Part II—Regulatory Provisions To Promote Program Efficiency, Transparency, and Burden Reduction (CMS-3267-F), to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).  The final rule purports to implement reforms in Medicare regulations that CMS has identified as unnecessary, obsolete, or excessively burdensome on health care providers and beneficiaries.  For more information, please see OMB’s List of Regulatory Actions Under Review for the Department of Health and Human Services.
