On May 16, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced that it will commit $25 million over the next five years to support the U.S.-India Joint Clean Energy Research and Development Center (JCERDC). This fall, DOE intends to begin awarding the funding to U.S. companies and other organizations involved in: (1) building energy efficiency (2) second generation biofuels, and (3) solar energy research and development.
