The Government has responded to the Productivity Commission's final report on the international freight transport services, which was released in April this year. The Report called for an overhaul of the sector, stating that in order to lift New Zealand's future economic performance, improvements must be made to the accessibility and efficiency of the international freight system. The Government has responded to these recommendations, released by The Treasury this month.
