BoE publishes fx investigation report: BoE has published an independent report from Lord Grabiner that looked at whether any BoE official was involved in, or aware of, conduct in the fx markets. The report found no evidence that BoE officials were involved in the misconduct or aware of traders sharing confidential information. One official was aware that traders were sharing aggregated information and was concerned but did not escalate the matter. Lord Grabiner concluded this was an error of judgment but no act of bad faith. He recommended BoE review its documentary record management, improve the education of officials whose work involves fx markets and more clearly state its role in market intelligence.
