A condition precedent in a property and contents insurance policy which required the insured to provide all the written details and documents asked for by the insurer if anything happened which might result in a claim was not unfair under the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999. The insurer's rejection of a claim on the grounds of breach of that condition was not unreasonable pursuant to rule 8.1.1 of the Insurance Conduct of Business Sourcebook (Parker v National Farmers Union Mutual Insurance Society Ltd).
