Business as usual at the committees dealing with the UPC

Recently as a consequence of the UK referendum in favour of leaving the EU, a communication from the Chairmen of the UPC Preparatory Committee and the EPO Select Committee dealing with the Unitary Patent was issued.

In brief it states that it is too early to assess the full impact of the Brexit on the Unified Patent Court and the Unified Patent Protection.

It is further stated that they will continue their work in accordance with their mandate to bring the Unified Patent Court and the Unitary Patent into operation as soon as possible.
