As of January 1, 2020, the province of Ontario has delegated to the Condominium Authority of Ontario the responsibility over 17 of the most used condo forms. As a result of this, most of these forms have now moved away from the government’s website onto the CAO website.

FEAR NOT! We, at Condo Adviser, have updated all of our links and continue to provide you access to the most up-to-date forms. You can always access the forms by using the Form Tab at the top of our blog.

For now, only 17 forms have been delegated to the CAO but more are expected to be delegated by July 2020. This delegation to the CAO will (we all hope) give the CAO more flexibility in developing and adapting these forms.

The CAO promises to consult owners and stakeholders to prioritize which forms need improvement. They are also in the process of exploring solutions which will allow the user to easily complete the forms by answering interactive and intuitive questions. (That is going to be A-MA-ZING!).

For now, the fillable forms continue to work best (by that we mean only work) on Internet explorer. We are also looking forward to a fillable Status Certificate. For now, it still appears in the printable format only.
