The FSA has published the speaking notes that Adair Turner (Chairman, FSA) used at the Turner Review press conference.

In his speech Lord Turner provides an overview of each of the chapters in the Review.

In addition at the beginning of his speech he reminds firms that the Review focuses on how a future banking system can be created which is more stable and better able to serve the needs of businesses and households. It does not address the other priority issue of how to maintain nominal demand and bank lending to limit the economic downturn. However, Chapter 4 of the Review contains a discussion of how the transition to the future banking system needs to be designed to reflect that concern.
