CMA seeks views on motor insurance order: CMA has published a draft order explaining how changes resulting from its investigation into private motor insurance will be introduced. In September 2014 CMA published its final report following the investigation outlining the conclusions it had reached. The consultation will remain open until 6 February 2015. CMA consults further on payday lending remedies: CMA is consulting on its proposal that, as a condition of participation in the market, payday lenders must provide details of their products on accredited price comparison websites (PCWs). It has consulted with FCA and now suggests that, rather than having a separate accreditation scheme, FCA would treat PCWs as credit brokers for the purposes of authorisation. CMA updates on retail banking investigation: CMA has stated that since the launch of its in-depth market investigation on 6 November 2014, the retail banking team has been gathering information and liaising with regulators and government.
