Early indications are that Tasmania's new anti-corruption watchdog, also known as the "Integrity Commission" is going to have its work cut out. Complaints have already been received despite the official start date of 1 October 2010 still being some weeks away. Barbara Etter, a former Western Australia assistant police commissioner is to head up the Commission as its Chief Executive and will carry out initial assessments of complaints. Ms Etter has remained reticent about the exact number of complaints received so far.
