In a submission to the federal government's Competition Policy Review, NBN Co makes it clear that it does not consider there to be a need for further competition-related reform in the telecommunications sector since on the whole, the telecommunications access regime in Part XIC of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) is operating effectively with no major changes required. NBN Co also considers that the regime of statutory exemptions and exceptions available to it through theTelecommunications Act 1997 (Cth) and the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) works well and should be maintained.
