Ireland August 19 2021

The introduction of the Senior Executive Accountability Regime and broader Individual Accountability Framework will be one of the most impactful regulatory changes of recent years.

The recent publication of the General Scheme for the legislation gives a good indication of what will be expected of regulated firms and individuals within them.

Whilst some aspects, including the SEAR, will initially only apply to certain regulated firms, others such as new conduct rules for certain individuals and business standards for firms will apply for all regulated firms.

A&L Goodbody's combined team of Regulatory, Employment and sector experts have already been working with regulated firms to prepare for these changes. Our guide sets out what you need to know about the reforms and what you need to do now.

If you would like to discuss how these changes impact you and your firm, or how ALG's Legal, Project Management and Client Technology teams can help you prepare for the reforms, please contact any member of ALG's dedicated SEAR team.
