The FSA has published a press release in which it states that following a review it has found that several mortgage brokers continue to operate well below standard, with senior management failing adequately to monitor and control their firm's performance to ensure that they are treating their customers fairly. The FSA also states that in January 2008 it will begin a further review of mortgage quality of advice process and is looking to report an improvement when the work is concluded in June 2008. The FSA is also currently conducting a project to see if lenders lend responsibly. The FSA expects to report on its findings in Spring 2008.
