The Broadcast Committee of Advertising Practice (BCAP) has issued a consultation on the introduction of scheduling restrictions for TV advertising of high-cost short-term credit, more commonly referred to as payday loans. The consultation sets out information on scheduling rules in general and how the restrictions may work. BCAP has invited views on whether the scheduling restrictions on payday loans, as set out in the document are necessary and proportionate. Deadline for responses is the 16 December 2015.
