The Supreme Court of the United States announced one decision this morning:

Cavazos v. Smith, No. 10-1115: In a per curiam decision, the Court held that the Ninth Circuit had impermissibly substituted its judgment for that of a California jury on the question of whether the prosecution’s or the defense’s expert witnesses more persuasively explained the cause of death of a seven-week old infant whose grandmother was tried and convicted of assault on a child resulting in death.
