On 5 December 2007, Regulation 1422/2007 was published. It amends the public procurement directives (2004/17 & 2004/18) by slightly revising downwards the current financial thresholds for the application of the procurement directives and brings them into line with the EU's obligations under the World Trade Organisation's Government Procurement Agreement. The new threshold for public works contracts is €5,150,000 and for public supply and for service contracts by central government bodies is €133,000. For public supply and service contracts awarded by other contracting bodies the new threshold is €206,000.
